The course is a mix of over 60 Digital Composition, Sound Design, Digital Design in Media, and Acoustic and Music Technology MSc students.  10-15 supervisors pitch a <a href=\"http:\/\/sd.caad.ed.ac.uk\/dmsp\/09-10\/category\/projects\/\">project proposal<\/a> and the students decide which ones they&#8217;d like to participate in.  This year, I proposed Augmented Sculpture, and 3 students signed up of which 2 are Sound Designer and 1 is a Digital Designer.  So far, they have managed to communicate tracking data via a <a href=\"http:\/\/reactivision.sourceforge.net\/\">reactivision<\/a> framework and combine life-sized sculpture to interact with a sonic environment built in <a href=\"http:\/\/cycling74.com\/\">Max\/MSP<\/a>.  <\/p>\n<p><object width=\"360\" height=\"270\"><param name=\"allowfullscreen\" value=\"true\" \/><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\" \/><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9509313&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=ff9933&amp;fullscreen=1\" \/><embed src=\"http:\/\/vimeo.com\/moogaloop.swf?clip_id=9509313&amp;server=vimeo.com&amp;show_title=1&amp;show_byline=1&amp;show_portrait=0&amp;color=ff9933&amp;fullscreen=1\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" allowfullscreen=\"true\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" width=\"360\" height=\"270\"><\/embed><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Chandan, Helen and Ev playing with a ReacTIVision controlled Max\/MSP patch developed for the Digital Media Studio Project at Edinburgh University.
